The Oxford Blues are Haverford’s oldest all-female a cappella group. The Blues were founded in 1985 by five Haverford women responding to a need for a strictly Haverford women’s singing group. As the first student-founded women’s organization at Haverford, the Blues strive to maintain a distinctive place and sound in the community. Every year, the Blues bring in new female members, hoping to share the rich tradition of music and camaraderie which has developed over the last twenty-five years.
